What it does
G&L StudioClock puts the clock from the studio wall on your Mac: a black face, a ring of 60 red LED second dots with twelve 5-second markers, and a seven-segment HH:MM:SS display. Or switch to a classic analog station clock with a stepping second hand. Made for screens that show the time all day: a Mac driving a studio monitor, a podcast or streaming setup, a control room, a newsroom desk.

Built for the wall
Scales crisply to any size. Fullscreen hides the cursor and keeps the display awake. "Keep window on top" for use next to other apps.
Your studio, your label
24-hour or 12-hour time, optional date line, and a custom label such as STUDIO 1 or ON AIR.
Light on resources
Redraws once per second. Runs in the macOS App Sandbox and requests no permissions.
Getting started
- Open G&L StudioClock. The LED ring face appears in a resizable window.
- Press Control-Command-F for fullscreen.
- Settings (Command-Comma): face, seconds-ring mode, 12/24-hour time, date line, label, keep window on top.
Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon or Intel.
Not yet in version 1.0
Time comes from the Mac's system clock, which macOS synchronizes via network time. Dedicated NTP/PTP synchronization with a status indicator, countdown and stopwatch, on-air tally, and iPad/iPhone versions are on the roadmap. We would rather ship a small clock that is right than a big one that is not.

G&L StudioClock bringt die Uhr von der Studiowand auf den Mac: schwarzes Zifferblatt, ein Ring aus 60 roten LED-Sekundenpunkten mit zwölf 5-Sekunden-Markern und eine Sieben-Segment-Anzeige HH:MM:SS. Alternativ eine klassische analoge Studiouhr mit springendem Sekundenzeiger. Gemacht für Bildschirme, die den ganzen Tag die Zeit zeigen. Kostenlos, ohne Konto, ohne Werbung, ohne In-App-Käufe.
Erste Schritte
- G&L StudioClock öffnen. Die LED-Ring-Uhr erscheint in einem skalierbaren Fenster.
- Control-Command-F für Vollbild. Der Mauszeiger wird ausgeblendet, das Display bleibt wach.
- Einstellungen (Command-Komma): Zifferblatt, Sekundenring-Modus, 12/24-Stunden-Anzeige, Datumszeile, Beschriftung, Fenster immer im Vordergrund.
